Never tried the old formula only have samples of the new formula.  

celestino or anyone with experience with both formula's is there any reason to stick with the new formula with these great prices on the old formula?  Thanks.

I haven't tried the new formula (yet), but I never had an issue lathering any of the scents as long as I use a synthetic brush. No matter what brush you're using though, load like there's no tomorrow and you'll be all set!

I got a stick of Sandalwood Rose and a stick of Lilac. I wanted Lily of the Valley, but when I went to check out, it said it was sold out. I will probably just mash these into a container since I don't really dig the shave stick method. I'd much rather load my brush with soap first before scrubbing it all over my face. I also got samples of Bergamot, Cedarwood & Juniper, Leather & Smoke and Yellow Rose.

I've been wanting to try LOTV as well. I also got the out of stock notice. I decided to add the new formula since I was placing an order.

I find that both the old and the new formula lather equally well for me, using very hard tap water. Some tips: 1) Use only a damp (not wet) brush to load the soap. 2) Load more soap onto the brush than you think you’ll need. 3) Add more water slowly when building the lather.

I would also recommend a synthetic brush, but that’s just my experience. Enjoy your soaps!

Wolverine, thanks for the heads up! Great timing as I'm using MW again after a hiatus. Nothing wrong just so many soaps.

Michelle's sticks are my favorite way to apply her soap. Ensures perfect lather everytime. Great deal...thanks Michelle!
