I see. Well the scent that I got is the Irish Travler, not sure if this scent has the formula modification that everyone is talking about though.

The sodium citrate has been added to the three new scents, plus Marrakesh and Vetiver & Oakmoss, at this time. The Irish Traveller has no chelating agent in it, yet.

Take a look at the videos Celestino posted. I think you'll be able to get the results you want by trying to replicate those methods. The key to Mystic waters is loading up enough product, just when you think you have enough, ignore the urge to stop and just load up some more. You'll get there.

I’ll be a broken record and just echo what Jeff, Celestino, Nathan and others have said earlier in this thread: 1) Load like tomorrow will never come. 2) For best results, use a synthetic brush (which it seems you are already doing). 3) Take your time and slowly add more water to all the soap you loaded.

Also, if your facial skin is feeling somewhat sensitive, load even more and try building a lather on your palm instead of the face.

I’m still working at perfecting things with Mystic myself, but I have very hard water in my area, and I’ve still been getting really nice shaves with the original formula. And in a while, things may be even easier with a slight formula change. Keep at it, good luck, and keep us posted!

Depending on the scent you purchased, it still may be the older formula, which I think is just fine.  Angel

I agree Enabler in Chief. I'm up to eight, current formula, and I love them. The scents are very nice and unique.

As I'm trying to go down to three brands, Michelle's product is definitely in the top three along with Eufros/Jabonman. Still searching for the third.

I am kinda of doing a very similar thing,

Mystic Waters is now my primary soap with more on the way Smile

I then have one or two from others such as CRSW, B&M and Dapper Dragon, but the scents are so good and unique I can't bring myself to sell them.

If you look at the label on the puck, the new ones have citric acid listed as the third-to-last ingredient. A few have now been switched over and as I replenish stocks, I'll add it to all of them. Maybe not a the solution to everyone's problems, but an improvement for many. No coconut oil means that it will always lather a little differently but it can be very thick, depending on how you work it and how much water you add.

I'm with you Hector. Mystic Water is one of my primary soaps. The performance and scents are superb.

I finally had a great shave with my MW with no irritation and that was by doing a palm lather. I have found that MW, old formula, takes awhile to loosen up so this tends to irritate my skin when face lathering and bowl lather seems to lead to an over hydrated and/or too much air for me.

Finally starting to realize the potential I saw in it!
