I've never heard him say it as I don't watch shave videos, but the 3017'ers on B&B have been loading and promoting that method for over 5y now.

Never ceases to crack me up when I see that and think of the typo that created the reference...

I do agree that most if not all lathering issues, despite water, soap, brush, fill-in-the-blank can be solved with a heavier load and very gradual addition of water during build.

My understanding is "johnniegold" started a thread to say he was going to not buy any more product until all his was gone. The plan was to open a soap, use it until it's done and then open the next. He estimated he wouldn't be done until 2017.

The Mods had some fun with it, decided it wouldn't be until 3017 as there was so much product, changed the title and the term 3017 stuck.

The bad news is that the only other soap that smells like Windsor is SoZ by RazoRock. In my opinion Dr Harris soaps and RazoRock fall well below the standard of other soaps out there - as always that's my opinion and others will disagree which is fine

The good news is that Dr Harris creams are far superior to their soaps and that may work for you.

I am a big Windsor fan as the actual place in the UK has special meaning to me hence my name in the forums.

Just a small point of the future, Fine L'Orange Noir Aftershave is the same scent nearly identical and its a lot cheaper than Dr Harris aftershave and for me works better.

If your a big Vetiver fan then I would recommend Cold River Soap Works Vetiver Moderne which if you like cologne style scents I am sure this will be right up you street - and CRSW is probably the best soap for performance on the market....you will struggle to find someone who doesn't like CRSW.

It was Bob. If I recall correctly, he figured something like 2500 shaves to get through his stuff at the time. Think it only took him 2-3 years.

Don't frequent that particular community any longer but that was a fun time.
