Hello. After my first brush got deteriorated: https://damnfineshave.com/thread-the-lof...-shortened, I'm gonna buy a second one. I'm tempted by a synthetic. I was thinking of this one from maggardrazors.com: https://www.maggardrazors.com/product/ma...ck-handle/,
this razorock one from connaughtshaving.com:
https://connaughtshaving.com/rrb24.html,
or this razorock one from man-store.ro(A Romanian store):
https://man-store.ro/produs/razorock-chrome-sintetic-plissoft-pamatuf/

Maggard and connaughtshaving both have excellent delivery prices to Romania. What are the best dimensions for a knot and loft? All of the 3 options have 24mm knots. My first and only brush had a 22mm knot, so I figured to go with a larger knot. Any opinions and advice

As I'm a face lathering only dude, I'd go for sure with Maggard.
Specs are perfect to my likings, sweet (not too much backbone) but very effective.

Is the Maggard good for bowl lathering and soaps?

the Maggard knot is good for bowl-lathering.

However, I really prefer their Tuxedo and Timberwolf knots. They just seem softer to me.

I've ordered the Maggard synthetic brush.

I don’t have a problem building lather with any of the synthetic brushes I have currently. My problem is in application of the lather. All my brushes have worked well other than a 30mm tuxedo knot which slings lather, just don’t care for it.

You could see if it makes a difference to slap or really paint the bristle down on your face. I use a really loose 22mm synthetic knot but it is still extremely messy during lathering. Maybe it is because the brush develops and then gives up the lather (face lathering). I put a lot of water through the knot so I can roll the handle and knot pretty close the face. Does your Tuxedo knot have a glue bump or a prominent feeling one?

Loft is 56mm effective loft is 49mm so 7mm glue lump.
