Not at all, alchemy still holds. There are some blade/razor combinations that are pure magic. Smile

Great idea, Marko!  I have what I call my "standard". EJDE89 w/ Voskhod blade. It over took the AstraSP and Feather due to the smoothness. According to my journal, this combo gave me two weeks strait of great shaves (multiple blades of course). I immediately ordered 200 Voskhods and this combo moved to the top of my world. That was about a month ago as I have been trying the Voskhods in other razors.
This morning, for the first time since Jan. 14th, I used the DE89 w/ a new Voskhod. The shave was not great, it was Perfect!  That's the difference now!
My whole experience has been elevated to a higher level of enjoyment.
Thanks for the idea! Now I'll get beautifully, fantastic shaves for the rest of the month.

Mark's description of "Pure Magic" is a proper comparative, Brent, but your "Perfect" is an absolute! Ya gotta leave the door open for continued improvement. Otherwise, you have your kit and that's it! You stop bothering with all shaving boards and happily use your "perfect" kit for the rest of your life. Nah, you can't do that; DFS would miss your input too much. Please stay! Tongue

Beamon, that would be too easy. I've never taken the easy route in any endeavor in my life! Also, it would greatly diminish my learning and progression of this skill. I just replaced my blade this morning with another Voskhod and again, perfect! I did consider going with a NEW or the Slim; but, I think I'm gonna stick with this combo for at least the remainder of the week.
The goal is to have all five razors, or at least 4 of my 5, perform this well and this consistent. I'm not done until that's accomplished.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm not going anywhere yet.

Brent
