Listened to Side 1 while shaving. Ok, I was streaming it, but on vinyl side 1 was, in order, Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ (Grammy nominated instrumental), and Limelight. 41 years ago, I was a 16-year-old working in a gas station, and Tom Sawyer blew me away. I bought the album and never looked back! This was the cover when released

And was followed by the live album that introduced me to the band's past albums, released in time for my birthday in October of the '81

Being the Rush geek that I am, I have read all of Neil's "travel" books. One rock drummer that stands out is Doane Perry, known for being the drummer for Jethro Tull from 1984 to 2011. Neil talks of meeting up with Doane in several of the books, often going to each other's shows and talking shop and life whenever time permitted. Tull is another favorite band of mine. I guess I lean towards prog rock, with bands like the Electric Light Orchestra, Kansas, and Yes. If you've read Neil's books or articles on drumming, it seems he loves the corny, drummer put-down jokes. But he proved the jokes all wrong with his lyrics and his incredible compositions.

Not read the drumming books but enjoyed Ghost Rider
The books are his travel books. The books are his thoughts on the days spent traveling between shows. He was an avid rider, favoring the BMW bikes. I found them very fun to listen to as I drive to and from work (in a car!). The real books have photos he took along the routes he chose. He eschewed highways and interstates, preferring roads most people only drove on because the lived there. I may have on other than Ghost Rider (which was sort of the start of his writing/journaling what he was feeling and seeing as he rode that journey). I'd be happy to send it your way!

Thanks but I'm heavy with books to get to for now. He loved Cycling (pedal) too
