I don’t really bring music to my shaves but, today I had a hankering for Jimi....
Remember, you don’t hear Jimi, You LISTEN to Jimi.......

I didn't feel like hearing MP3 music or the radio news this morning for some reason, so I just hummed to myself - mainly an approximation of what little I remember from Don Giovanni as performed by Enrico Caruso. At one point when I was in college, I lived in an apartment above a liquor store that was run by Italian mafia types who always sat in a curtained back room of the store in groups of 2 or 3, watching video porn and listening to 78rpm records of Caruso. The Colonia fragrance of my shaving today reminded me of this.

In my eyes? Never. But, I'm sure there are some that will disagree....

Compared to Herr Beethoven, Monsieur Hendrix doesn't have a chance. Give me a break. Who would listen to Jimi when Ludwig's music is better and has been around for so much longer! (And anyone who didn't realize that while I'm not a Hendrix fan, my tongue was firmly in cheek he (or she) needs to see the forest for the trees. Just because he isn't my cup of tea doesn't mean he isn't a classic.)

Nothing bad to say about Hendrix or Beethoven, will defend them forever.
You folk bringing on recollections of Clockwork Orange
The opera reference reminds me of the personal favourite - pedestrian tastes here - Tosca. Used to be able to pretty much "sing" the entire opera by memory when living in LA doing long training road racing bicycle rides - backwhen portable cassette "Walkman" players were just too bulky for serious riding. Haha
