Vintage Shaver
Seattle, WA
As part of my regular scuttle/bowl rotation, I use a Mr. Coffee Mug Warmer with my élan bowl and suribachi on cold mornings. It keeps the lather nice and warm, and so long as I pick it up to lather my face for each razor pass, it doesn't get too hot for my palm or for the brush to sit in it between passes. It was inexpensive at my local Target store.

Hi John, that looks useful and practical. You may recall the post from Mickey Oberman where he displayed a similar system, its post #40 at this link:

I'm going to have to find myself a mug warmer Smile

Dirty Bird brush scuttle here.

I like not worrying about electrocuting myself on the second pass.

Oh come on man, live a little Big Grin Seriously though, I have a Dirty Bird shaving scuttle, but since I've shifted to brush/face lathering I've coveted their brush scuttle. Maybe 2017 will be the year I get one.

I think picture two, the suribachi bowl on warmer, is exactly how Rick DeWise of https://brushnsoapnblade.wordpress.com/ does it. He is always talking about his cup warmer and that exact bowl.
