I'm well aware of how a lathe works. I was referring to the profile of the hair. Unless a lathe is somehow involved in the tying process?

I agree here. These brushes look fantastic, especially the pictures of the ZT1’s , but the pictures on the site look how tcainerr describes.

Opal ZT2 arrived today. I've got no issue with the profile. The tips appear whiter than ZT1 and it seems a bit softer as well. I pick up hints blue, red, and green in the handle. Super pleased with this beauty. Can't wait to try it out.

I just received mine today. It is beautiful. The tips are so soft and lovely. I actually feel that this ZT2 knot is better than my B5 Declaration.

First use, second lather of the ZT2. It's softer than anything I've used. I'm told it's Manchurian 2 band hair. Ima fan. I'll get 2 of this batch, should I get lucky, and keep them both for a while. Good stuff, Brett. It's going to be fun to watch you hone your knot craft.

I just used the ZT2 knot and all I can say is wow! Thumbs up to Brett for his amazing work. This knot is better than my B5. A must have!
