He has responded that this particular shape requires a medallion, custom or mass drop.

Irrespective, find the dimensions he uses on this shape are unique amongst brands and absolutely perfect ergonomically for my hands; it also presents so much better as a larger size in my opinion.

Really want to purchase a couple sans medallion in different colouration for my rotation. Truly magical with his ZT knot. Finding ZT3 pretty decent knot too, damn near the equal of the ZT2 after an extended breakin period (pretty high praise)

The handle shape is the classic yet original design by Brett with obvious inspiration from the StrongSet and Rubberset handles of yesteryear.

Had a tough time capturing how beautiful this pour is in person but best description I’ve got is deep blue-green pearlescent swirled with black. Truly stunning.

It’s only got two test lathers but I’m taking it for a spin today and can’t wait to use it. Pics were before test lathers and fresh out the box.

A number of us have experienced both DG Jeffersons and Mozingos.  Placing them side by side it manifestly obvious they different on every dimension.

The Jefferson is relatively tiny and thin akin to a surgical instrument whilst the Mozingo is taller and much much fuller akin to a handtool.

They are both quite nice but under no circumstance would anybody having both physically present mistake one for other even if blindfolded and wearing gloves.

This isn't intended to disparage anybody, simply stating my observations.  They physically differ by orders of magnitude to my perspective; both beautiful yet distinctly different.

Have you tried Dogwoods Jefferson? I’m curious your thoughts on how they compare.

Have not. So far none of the handle colourations have appealed, although understand they regarded well

Yes! There’s more expensive machines but I still love the Breville Barista Express the most. What beans do you like? I’m really enjoying the Belle Espresso from Klatch Roasting.

Sir, that's a Jefferson shape.

I’m aware that’s what Scott has dubbed his version of it but I’ve yet to see any documented proof that he ever turned this shape before Brett Mozingo. Where’s Reddit wet shaving fan fiction with the time stamped physical evidence?

Furthermore, as Dan has pointed out, there are distinct differences in the size and proportion between them even today.

I own both and both my blue collar hands and my wallet prefer Brett’s work. To each his own, buy what you like. There’s plenty of room in the space.
