More Personna Confusion

Saying you don't understand is kinda the same as questioning something without actually asking a question. Just because the box says "Made here" or "Made there" does not designate what type of blade it is to the uninformed user. That's where the confusion lies. Why would they label the "same" blades as Platinum Chrome and Stainless Steel? What is the point? These came from the same market (USA).

the user posted two photos with presumably the same blades, but with different words to describe the blade. I could easily see where someone could be confused or at least looking for clarification. it's not that big of a deal...

And besides that, nobody should have to pore through articles about fricking razor blades to figure out what's what. Just label your stuff clearly and consistently, not 50 different names for the same 2 blades and be done with it. I just don't understand the reasoning behind what Personna does in this regard. I'm just happy that their blades are just "meh" for me so I don't have to think about it or buy them.

Marketing people do not always see things the way we consumers do. For example, The VW Golf was called the Rabbit for many years here in the states, but was always the Golf in Germany. Who knows what they are thinking. It can be confusing, especially now with the invent of the internet. Add to the mix the interest of vintage products and it all becomes quite confusing. That being said, I really enjoy my vintage Personna 74's and my Med Preps; while I have had bad luck and will no longer use the Personna Lab Blues.

I find it difficult to trust Personna and will not purchase any of their blades except perhaps Lab Blues which have been consistent.  But even the revered Med Preps I have received in a 250 lot box, were irregulars or something else altogether, although the blade was stamped FOR HOSPITAL USE, as expected.

Which Personna do you find hard to trust? You do realize there are two companies making Personna products, right? Accutec makes the Personna medical blades. The last I heard these were still made in the USA. Edgewell Personal Care makes the Personna blades from Israel.

Personna makes at least three types of DE blade at their Nazareth plant & Accutec makes at least four types of DE blade at their Verona plant.

It is true that a number of stores have private label Personna's made & special Personna packaging which does cause some confusion as you cannot tell which of the seven blades you are purchasing.

It is also true that blades are sometimes labelled as Platinum Chrome when they are not. Super + Platinum/Crystal/IP's for example are PTFE coated only.

So which blade is better, the Feather in the black box or the Feather in the yellow box? LOL!

So here we have another person, Paul, stating that there are 7 different blades made by Personna. John Clayton, I thought there were only 2? You see, there is confusion regarding this brand of blades whether you want to acknowledge it or not.
