I just pre-ordered mine as well. Lilly of the Valley is my wife's favorite scent. Thank you for alerting us to this HoosierShave. What aftershave would you use with this?

That's what I was thinking too. I'm going to have to get more of that. Thank you much for your reply.

I might have to get some Lily of the Valley fragrance oil and create my own aftershave! You guys got the gears in my head turning...

Gentlemen, I just wanted to update this thread. I have Honeysuckle, Lily of the Valley and Orange, Cedarwood and black pepper and just ordered Pumpkin Spice and Barbershop. Wow, I've been missing out on an incredible product. These soaps have fantastic scents and killer performance. I should probably have purchased these a long time ago, but I couldn't quite time things due to how his website works. Through a combination of Maggard and Mike's home page I was able to get a bunch of scents I'd like.

This soap is very cushiony and slick and the OCBP and Honeysuckle scents are freaking stout and incredible.

Lily of the Valley: definitely floral, a nice take. I wish this one had a bit more scent.
Orange Cedarwood and black Pepper: outstanding scent. The orange is definitely forward to my nose, but the pepper/cedarwood round it out nicely and makes it a year round type scent for me
Honeysuckle: incredible, spot on honeysuckle and nothing else scent. Very stout to my nose, reminds me of summers here in the lowcountry. Will be a summer/spring staple for me.

I'm just blown away. I know I've been wet shaving for some time now and should have tried these already but they have moved to my top tier. Can't wait to have the pumpkin spice and barbershop.

I think it might be the best soap made for its price point. Especially since one can just purchase the soap without the tin if they like. Price per ounce? This soap is top notch.

Hey Mikes Soap users,

I meant to ask you all earlier. Could you tell me how strong the following scents are to your particular nose:

Hungarian Lavender
Rose and Cedarwood
Lime
Peppermint and Rosemary
Pine and Cedarwood
Bay Rum
Coconut

I tend to like stout scents and so far, the Honeysuckle is my favorite with the Orange, Black Pepper and Cedarwood right behind it. These two to me, have a good deal of scent strength and I love that.

I can give you my take on two of those. On a scale of 1–5, with 5 being the strongest:
• Hungarian Lavender: 4
• Rose & Cedarwood: 2 (or 3, may somewhat depend on the day)

They are both good choices, and Hungarian Lavender has really made me a lavender fan — it’s a really nice soap.

Whenever I go to shave, I assume there’s someone else on the planet shaving, so I say “I’m gonna go shave, too.”

I can't answer to any of those. I have the Orange, cedarwood, and black pepper. I also have the barbershop. It is my favorite barbershop by far (Maggard London is exact to my nose), and I have the lemongrass and eucalyptus (It smells like coughdrops to me and I have only used it once.

Either way this soap would be a desert island soap for me no matter what the scent. The problem before was the availability. You can get his soaps in several places now which makes it nice.

If any of you haven't tried it yet you really need to. It is cheap if you just by the shaving bar and mash it into a container.
