So this is how I chill on a Friday night. Middle age is fun but I think I've lost some of my mojo!

Right now, with my wife's permission, I'm having a love affair with GroomingDept, Talbot Shaving and Tallow & Steel. Artisans are exploding right now and we're just trying to keep up. One soap, and I think a lot of guys will agree, I hope never fades away is Mike's.  It's like that friend from high school you can always count on years later. Such a great soap! Wink

I feel to ask what may be obvious to many, but...
Is Mike's that satisfying? I had some early on and was underwhelmed. i eventually sold or swapped all of it.
Was there a reformulation somewhere in the past that has made it top shelf? Or am I just an anomaly?

Thanks

A truly wonderful soap that still comes in puck form, which I love. I wish more artisans would offer their soaps in this format as their are a few advantages to this. Shy

As I mentioned, earlier on, Max, Mike has never reformulated his soap and I find it quite easy to use and a fantastic performer.
It is unfortunate that you didn't enjoy it, but you should give it another chance.
If you are having issues lathering it or want an example of the type of lather you can get with this soap, Merkurman's video on Youtube lathering Mike's soap is a perfect example of how to do it. Smile

Mike's is a top tier soap for me. The scents are simple but pleasant and the performance is up there with the best of them. What scent do you have there vtmax?

Jeff, Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper. I like that it's all essential oils and I can carry on a summer scent into the Fall. Happy2
