Mike's Natural Soap

Wolverine the Peppermint & Rosemary is great. One of my favorite's from Mike's. It's a herbaceous scent. More peppermint than rosemary. The peppermint adds a nice cooling effect. I would recommend it.

Whiskey Sour , I was thinking it might be a nice addition with summer coming on.

Wolverine I think it can be used year round. IMO it is not seasonal. The cooling from the peppermint is great in the summer.

For those that have tried both of these, which do you prefer? Lavandin & Eucalyptus or Hungarian Lavender.

Wolverine, I've tried them both and you really can't go wrong with either one. They both smell great and the lathers are fantastic.

Personally, I find the HL to just simply be stronger in terms of the lavender scent. The eucalyptus really does help tone down the lavender scent and gives the overall scent just a touch of a medicinal quality. If you prefer a straight-up lavender scent, I would suggest the HL.

Not sure why I waited so long to try Mike's Natural Soap. I've been traditional wet shaving for about 10 years and have stuck to a few reliable soaps (B&M, SV, Tabac). Because of this thread, I decided to pick up a puck of Mike's Barber Shop (along with CRSW's premium). I also tried lathering using Merkur Man's technique. The result was simply awesome! This is one hell of a great performing soap. Perhaps, the best I've tried yet.

I've also transitioned to night shaving and have had some trouble with my skin's reaction to it for whatever reason. Mike's is the ONLY soap that gives me the same great shaves in the evening that I usually get when shaving in the morning. I'm a believer!

Yes I do Andrew. Obviously the whole process happens in much less time with softer soaps.

Today I have received my first Mike's soap (Hungarian Lavender) from Maggard.
Is it normal that it has a dark spot in the middle of the tin?

I have not seen that before. But, I would not be concerned about it.
