Recently, after having loaded a rather dry brush with a good amount of soap, which essentially turned into a sort of stringy paste on the puck and in the brush hairs, I remembered reading the words “dunk the knot” by 120inna55. (Described here: https://damnfineshave.com/thread-16-22-a...#pid131856) Well, I decided to do just that, and the results were quite fantastic. All the pasty soap stayed intact, but at the same time, I now had enough water in the mix to start building the perfect lather on my face.

So I decided to buy a cup or bowl for this very purpose — not to lather in, but to simply have a reserve of water for when I’m shaving, in which I can dunk the knot. I found this stainless steel Cultura bowl on Etsy. It was manufactured in Sweden in the sixties, and is just perfect for the job.

Had Derek of WildWestBrushworks handle turn this handle for me as I wanted something to pair well with the APShaving 22MM Faux Horsehair(more like a 24mm it is so dense).

I also had a chance to visit with Ken @Paladin Shaving and watch in awe as he turned a new handle for me (28mm Buck Rogers). Ken and his wife Pam are an amazing couple dedicated to our little hobby. I was overwhelmed by their integrity, generosity and work ethic. I'm honored to call them friends.
