Today, I had my first shave with the new scent from Martin de Candre.. The Magellan.

It comes with a slightly modified label. The jar is the same as the other 200g jars from MdC.

The conclusion from the first shave: Very tasty, subtle scnt, still noticeable and pleasant.

The fragrance:

The new Martin de Candre is delicious. However, you shouldn't expect a fragrance explosion. It is, as is typical for MdC, rather discreetly scented. But it is very harmonious. The delicious scents of lavender, clove, cinnamon, thyme and serpentine (Edit: Breckland wild thyme ) are pleasant to the nose and transport you to the sunny landscapes of the Orient. Of course, MdC's fragrance base always shimmers through beautifully. And it should, it is very pleasant.

I don't need to write anything about the foaming qualities like cushion, gliding properties or ghost lather and aftercare. It is typical MdCand perfect, as well as very economical.

Got lost in translation. It’s Breckland wild thyme

I use and enjoy MdC Original, Fougère, Rose and Vetiver on a regular basis.  I was excited when I saw the email announcing the two new scents in my inbox.  Upon reading the notes and descriptions of the scents, however, my excitement began to fade.  I wouldn’t feel comfortable ordering a jar of either of the new scents without first sampling it.
