I used Heliopteris again this morning. With regard to face feel, it's one of my finest aftershaves (and I've got over a hundred of them). As I mentioned, it has face food that makes it feel very much like Chatillon Lux aftershave, which is about the highest praise I can give. I'm still a bit on the fence regarding the scent, but it's aftershave--it's not supposed to last forever (although some of my PAA aftershaves seem to...). I will have to try one of the other flavors at some point. I'm very impressed.

Wow. Thank you for the kind words. I’m very glad you are enjoying it.

Yeah, essential oils only last so long. Most of the aftershaves that last a while are fragrance oils or synthetics. Unfortunately most give me a reaction so I stuck with essential oils. I could up the volume possibly but essential oils are quite expensive so we’ll see.

Either way. I’m glad you’re digging my stuff. Cheers.

Sean,

Your stuff is legit! I'm almost out of the sample I received at the Niagara on the lake meet up. I will definitely be buying more of your stuff. The lime was fantastic. Which one do I get next???

Sean, I should clarify. Sometimes while seeking brevity I create confusion...

I'm a bit on the fence regarding the opening notes of Heliopteris. As it dries down, however, it becomes very warm and cozy. And the dry down is a very nice scent. As the opening notes do not last long, to my nose, whether I like the scent or not is not really important, as it will be gone soon anyway.

I can sense the EO quality throughout the experience, however. I look forward to ordering another bottle in a different flavor as soon as Top of the Chain figures out how to ship it to the US...

The face feel of this stuff is amazing.

P.S. The international shipping restriction does not apply to the US, I just learned. Ergo, I just ordered a bottle of Frosted Wilde Flowers!

Thank you Niro884. I appreciate it. I'm glad you enjoyed the samples.

As I slaved over the scent notes for quite some time I enjoy all of them. But Heliopteris seems to be getting a lot of love.

Cheers.

I'm glad it transforms into something you love. It's really great to hear that my scent accords are enjoyable and that you are enjoying the feel of my ingredients.

Awesome news about Wilde Flowers. I hope you like it as much as Heliopteris.

Cheers.

Sean, I've used all four of your aftershaves now and I have to say, the base is very good. Great face feel and soothing. My favourite scent so far is Frankinlime - a complex lime thats a little darker than most lime. Next favourite is the Marlogue Wood - nice woody, forresty scent. I'll need more time with Heliopteris and Wilde Flowers at this point but I'm sure I'll warm up to them with more use. Keep up the great work.
Cheers,
Mark

Thank you very much for the kind words and encouragement. All this positive feedback is very humbling. I’m really glad you’re enjoying my products and hope you find enjoyment with each scent. Heliopteris pairs nicely with many fougère’s. Fougère means fern. Helio means sun, and pteris means fern. So it’s my take on a Fougère with a funky name. Cheers.

I have Heliopteris and Wilde Flowers coming from Top of the Chain. Was wanting a Frosted Frankenlime, but sadly they were out of stock.

Hope the mailmen hurry up, I cannot wait to try it out.
