So looks like Maggard has jumped into the Plisson like synthetic shave brushes. They have some nice looking brushes.

There are 4 brushes (3-24mm models, and 1 22mm model). They look pretty nice. They are also selling bare knots also. So brush restorations have options.

Prices are very reasonable too.

Wife is needing a brush...so a order may be necessary....

Yes I saw those too and will be buying one. The prices as always are great. I can't believe they only want $6 and $7 for knots. Great buy!

Thanks for the heads up Monte. Interesting handles and the price is right. Look forward to hearing how they lather!

They will lather like any other plisson knot I'm sure. I like the 55mm loft on the 24mm which should be better than the usual 57mm. The 22mm has a 52mm loft which is also quite lower than the plisson.

Interesting. When I posted they had not yet updated to add the loft measurements. Will be sure to report...

Looks like they have something to compete with the Razorock Plissoft brushes. Good for them. The handles are beautiful, but as a head shaver, I actually think I'd like the feel of the short handled Plissoft better. I'm on purchase sabbatical this year, so we'll see who else comes out with some great budget brushes before next year. It's only a matter of time...

Sort of depends on the glue bump but I like the specs!

Well I'll let you know soon. The only brush I have that has a large glue bump is my Whipped Dog 30mm and to be honest it works just fine. I would prefer not to have the bump though. You can always call or email Maggard and ask.

More just curious- I am not on the hunt for a new synthetic right now but do enjoy learning more of the current offerings. Very cool that Maggard's is throwing a hat in the ring.

Oh how does one get a knot out and how does one glue new one in. Maybe could savage my whipped dog handle.
