I recently brought MacDuff's Alberta Boys back into rotation after only a handful of shaves with it upon initial release. Not sure if a deeper journey into fragrances has expanded my sensory evaluation skills or something has developed in this formulation with passing of time. I am thoroughly enjoying the complexity of this scent, particularly in the now seemingly more pronounced notes of the aftershave.

[Image: pFxOhq8.jpeg]Ok, this sometimes happens to me as well. I don’t particularly like the scent of a new soap on initial use and I put it aside. Not far, so I pick it up every now and then and sniff it and then put it down. After a while my nose brain processes it and I’ll find that the scent begins to grow on me and sometimes I’ll even come to like or even love it. That was the case with Alberta Boys. I was initially attracted to it because of the name. I’m an Alberta boy. The scent notes sounded interesting. When I got it, I won’t lie, I did not like it. I was a little disappointed as I’d bought three sets. One for me, my son and my future son in law. Anyway, after a several month process as described above, I shaved with it today and I like it. A lot. Great oud scent that reminds me a little of Ethos Dragonsbeard.

I'm glad to hear you ended up loving it! It is by far my most popular scent, at the markets and online.

Speaking of scents,
any ballpark ETA on parfums, particularly, Old Strathcona and Trail Tobacco?
