Los Jabones De Joserra

Absolutely fantastic soap base.
I can only speak on 'The Warlock' which was an LE collaboration with Langley city.
After checking the ingredients list, I noticed that it has duck fat in it, which seems to only be available in a select number of others from Joserra.
I definitely plan to add more to my collection, as I'm yet to find one where the scent notes do not appeal, plus, I'm curious to see if there's any noticeable difference in terms of performance, because I do find that anything with duck fat seems to add that little bit extra, in my experience.

Black rose oud, Rodrigo and 3 from the 'soul objects' line (black, green and blue) are in my wishlist.

I'm coming in to this thread very belatedly, but FWIW I am a wholehearted Los Jabones de Joserra fan.  The base never disappoints, and the scents IMO vary from okay to delightful, but tending more towards the delightful, and never faint.  My favorites so far are a dead heat between Black Rose and Rodrigo De Jerez.  

One other thing, which may be idiosyncratic to me:  While I still have enough life in me to appreciate the image of a sexy female, the intriging backstory that occasionally accompanies Joserra labels appeals to me in a more original way than selling soap with sex.  Case in point:  The Urdaneta label depicts a man standing in front of a map on which a prominent line is drawn connecting an Asian island and Mexico - a line adorned only with an eastward pointing arrowhead.  The man is the fascinating and uniquely qualified Franciscan monk, Andrés de Urdaneta, who was personally commanded by King Philip II to join a 1564 expedition from Acapulco to the "Western" (what we would call "eastern Pacific") islands, and who discovered a useable eastward return route - the line in the picture - that enabled 250 years of lucrative Manila Galleon trade between Manila and Acapulco. Rodrigo de Jerez is another case in point, if altogether less glamorous.  Rodrigo sailed with Columbus, brought tobacco back to his home town, was imprisoned by the inquisition (because only the devil could exhale smoke), and released seven years later, by which time smoking was an established habit.

From time-to-time, Jose Martinez brings history to his labels, and in a way that makes the history come alive for me.   For the record, Jose is not the only vendor whose labels impress and appeal to me in a special way, but I won't discuss any others here for fear of derailing this thread.  

High Speed, agree with you 1000%. For me this soap maker is right there with Grooming Department and Omnibus! I bought a puck of every flavor as I find their fragrances sophisticated and well done. Discovery of the year for me. Gents, this is some great soap.

I, also, find the soaps to be excellent performers.  I bought Viriato as a blind buy and it's found a place in my regular rotation of excellent soaps.

The scent description of Rodrigo de Jerez and some of the praise attached to it led me to purchase a tub.  I like the scent.  Unfortunately, it doesn't agree with my face.

It's curious that I've posted it for sale at a discounted price and even offered it on "weekend special" a couple times for about half price...and its found no takers.  /sigh/

So, it resides under the sink.

The balms are definitely worthy of a mention as well. They're really good.

I haven’t been able to buy a splash but I do have one balm in the Rodrigo de Jerez scent. I like it. Absorbs well, not greasy feeling and smells great. Good nourishing, soothing face feel too.

I have the matching balms as well and they seem to be very nice, not greasy at all. I’m a Splash man at heart, I would love to get my hands on some of these Splashes. I wish someone like Pasteur’s was able to source them, a Soap this good deserves a matching Splash.

I shaved with Passion Incense this morning. It’s very nice. Best incense scent since GD Incense & Rose 

Shaved with Blas de Lezo. What a wonderful shave - too bad a slight tingling, but not burning so it's bearable.

The shave was so good that I went to get Rodrigo de Jerez and the new Urdaneta. Wanted Black Rose but out of stock, hopefully next time.

Sounds like I've got to try Joserra again. About a year ago, I got a puck of Vanitas at Pasteur and I tried it about three times. Didn't thrill me. Was also disappointed that there were no splashes or balms to be had. But all these comparisons to GD and T+S make me want to try again!
