I am not a hoarder by any means.  However, I tend to forget that I have things and a couple of friends took me in hand and said, "Freddy, clean out your closets!"  (I think that might have been a hint. Rolleyes)  Just partially cleaning out one closet and a few drawers I had three 33 gallon bags for Goodwill including clothes, books, stationery, etc.  I figured that today I'd start looking through drawers that have mostly shaving soaps and have already thrown out stuff that is either unusable or that I know I shall never use but is not in condition to PIF.  Then, I came across what you see here.  I didn't even remember that I had it.  I have no idea if it was my late father's or something that I picked up somewhere.  Looking at the razor, spray deodorant, shaving foam, and Sun Up aftershave, I'm guessing that this dates somewhere between the mid 1950s to mid 1960s.  Does anyone else have a better idea?  I have a bunch of other shave related drawers, boxes, closets, etc. to go through and it's kind of scary considering what I might find. Tongue

EDIT: Before American Zip Codes there was a system called Zone Numbers. Zip Codes came about in 1963 so I assume this cannot be much older than 1964 based on the old zone number system being used on the mail-in card (Boston 6).

What's the Date Code on the razor.......number 1,2,3 or 4 and a Letter in opposite corners under the base plate?

Why didn't I think of that? Rolleyes   It's K-4, Dave, making it the 4th quarter of 1965.

Yes, it is, Marko.  What's so strange is I'm old enough to remember seeing them on store shelves. Winking

I think I am too but I wasn’t paying attention!  If I had a Time Machine I’d go back and spend my 10 cents a week allowance and paper route money differently!!

And I didn’t post that original message 5 times!

I wouldn't use the Right Guard before a hot date.   Dodgy
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

pretty neat! Razor Emporium might be interested in that set for the nostalgic purpose of it..if you decide to get rid of it.
