If it's any indication the only soaps in my den at the moment are:

Manuel's newer Jabonman premium tallow
Mike's Natural
Haslinger
L&L

I guess I need to keep using it for sequential shaves. I have only used Puzzle once (actually, my only L&L so far) and while I didn't have any problems, I didn't see it being wildly better than other top tier artisans. But I can't ignore that plenty of more knowledgeable folks think it does, so I'll keep at it.

IMO L&L isn't "wildly better" than other top tier artisans but rather is on par with other top tier artisans. For relative newcomers such as L&L Grooming and Tallow + Steel (which is also on par with TT artisans) this is an accomplishment.

Agree 100%.

I think you put it better than I could, sir.

Not 'widely better' just really good. T&S, P&B and others could be added.  I'm just trying to keep as few soaps in my den as this hobby will allow!  I've recently had an aversion to soaps just sitting not being used.

The Unconditional Surrender collaboration with Chatillon Lux coming up sounds great.

I have used Tri... and Champ De Lavende. To me L&L is very good, but in terms of slickness and post-shave a notch behind Mike's and Mystic Water. But L&L soaps produces the best looking lather!! I almost want to eat it!!

My first time using L&L today (Harmony) and I want to say I was blown away like mostly everyone else, but I wasn't. It has more to do with me dialing in how to use this "soap" than anything else. (I put soap in quotations because this should be called a cream IMO.) This stuff is way too soft for my liking which led to issues loading my brush. Any tips for me from those who have used this soap a lot? The performance during the shave was very good though. It checks all the boxes for slickness, cushion, etc. I just need to better figure out how to get the lather where it needs to be. The post shave feel in combination with the Stirling aftershave I used is outstanding as well. I love the scent and strength of Harmony, but it did burn my face a little.

I usually let my L&L soaps sit out for a couple days with lid off and they firm up a bit. That seems to help. Also keeping your brush a bit more damp than you normally would helps a bit as well.

I agree with Agon. My Cuir Et Epices have harden up quite a bit and my few newly purchases also have firm up abit now I can easily bloom them and still load without the initially problem(your loading problem) I have with L&L Grooming.
