Used Darkfall for the first time this morning, WOW what an amazing soap. It' s been close to 11 hours since I shaved and I swear my face almost feels like I just finished! L&L definitely in my top five!

Any of your L&L Bison Tallow soap harden after a few months? I got my cuir et epices i got few months ago and few new tub... Very different consistency.

The two jars I have indeed hardened up a bit. Same great performance. It's a softer soap so I have been letting it sit uncovered longer than others to dry fully.

Thank you. My cuir et epices hardened up to the point I can easily load the brush.

I mean it's easier to load previously as it was softer and all but it got me irritated as my brush just dig into the soap instead. So hardening up the soap actually makes me happy.

Now I'm considering opening up all my L&L tub to harden it.

As always, I'm late to the party, but thought I'd give these soaps a try and I received two, yesterday. I chose Darkfall and Trisgistmus. My fault, but I didn't fully read the scent of the latter, not realising it is similar to Hermes TdH. I owned this fragrance 3 or 4 years back, and had to sell as for some reason it made me feel very light-headed and uncomfortable. As soon as I removed the lid, I recognised that scent, immediately. In just a very short time of smelling, I began to get those sensations, again. Definitely something there that doesn't agree with me. I sold the soap last night.

I used Darkfall, this morning, and I am totally impressed. The only negatives I have read were a couple of comments on post shave. YMMV, but I cannot fault the soap. As far as I am concerned, I put this soap up there with the best in all performance categories. Perhaps the plastic container could be of higher quality, when compared to the competitors, but this is a minor point.

I think L&L might have gotten a bit buried in a sea of artisans and recent high profile reformulations and, as David noted, the Parkway containers might need a boost. The soap base is phenomenal and I'm beginning to think there might be a distinct advantage in the Bison tallow.

If it's any indication the only soaps in my den at the moment are:

Manuel's newer Jabonman premium tallow
Mike's Natural
Haslinger
L&L

I think L&L might have gotten a bit buried in a sea of artisans and recent high profile reformulations and, as David noted, the Parkway containers might need a boost. The soap base is phenomenal and I'm beginning to think there might be a distinct advantage in the Bison tallow.

I have only used Puzzle once (actually, my only L&L so far) and while I didn't have any problems, I didn't see it being wildly better than other top tier artisans. But I can't ignore that plenty of more knowledgeable folks think it does, so I'll keep at it.

IMO L&L isn't "wildly better" than other top tier artisans but rather is on par with other top tier artisans. For relative newcomers such as L&L Grooming and Tallow + Steel (which is also on par with TT artisans) this is an accomplishment.
