No, I'm not talking about being screwed by Classic Shaving.

I was swapping handles on my King Cobra and that stupidly designed double sided screw which goes between the head and fell down my heating register when I dropped it. It is lost forever. Does anyone out there know what kind of screw it is? Classic Shaving wants me to send the Cobra in "for repair" which is totally idiotic, but is their policy. I just need the screw thread size and length. Hopefully I can find one at my local hardware store or online.

Bring a female threaded end in to your local hardware store...

My guess is that it is a common size thread pattern, and your local hardware store should have a thread finder with both male and female ebnds to match up your threads. This would be the quickest solution...as long as Cobra isn't using a half-size thread spacing...

I may have an extra from a Triad handle I got. I'll check and let you know. If I do , you can have it.

I believe its commonly called a "set screw". Do what BadDad said and take your razor head or handle to the hardware store and try to find one that fits.

Took the handle / head into my local hardware store. 1/4" size 20. I need to measure the length for anyone interested. I had two cut at the hardware store, cost me a whopping 52 cents each.

And no, CS will not just sell the set screw. Their customer service claims they can no longer buy parts and the manufacturer would replace it at their facility after they send it to them, which is of course after I send it to Classic Shaving. Great pair of razors, just the most horrendous business model for the entire Cobra line.

I'm glad you got it fixed. I didn't have any luck finding the screw, I know I have it, I just don't know where, lol......

Cool, glad you got it fixed! Imagine how much they would have raked you over the coals for if you sent it back for "repair"!

I got a message yesterday from Classic Shaving with a picture of the screw to make sure that is what I was looking for, as well as a question for my mailing address. It seems they have one incoming. Here's hoping it's not too expensive as I didn't have the heart to tell them I got a couple at the hardware store.
