King Cobra razors back in stock

I received mine yesterday and it is the same as yours jsanchez.
I am extremely underwhelmed by the presentation and quality of this razor.
I have not shaved with it yet and I am not excited about trying it out either.
First impressions of the King Cobra are not good.

Mine moves up and down and a bit side to side. Even in the Classic is the same. The important thing to look for is the blade to be straight across.

But, if you feel is not right, by all means get it replaced. Can't go wrong with that.

I felt the same way after I unboxed mine.

I was able to get some photos of the razor to try and show what I was talking about earlier.
*EDIT* - Forgot to add that when the base plate is moved to the left side, the same signs are exhibited in the pictures below but for the opposite side.

The picture below shows the how bit the gap is between the head and base plate.  From all the pictures i've seen posted online none of them have that gap.


The picture below show how the base plate barely sits on the head.

Wow, at that price point, I would expect the fit and finish of that razor to look a lot better. It could just be the photos though, as I have never seen one in person.

I don't see anything odd in your photos apart from in the last one where the locking lever is not straight.
When I lock the lever in place there is no 'play' - I have to deliberately push it to one side in order to open it up for the base plate to be released.

Thank you for the pictures. From the underside picture, it looks like there isn't a gap between the baseplate and the head. On the underside picture on mine, there is a significant gap between the head and baseplate which allows for the baseplate to move quite a bit.

Then I, sadly, think you might have a 'dud'. When my head is locked in place using the lever on the bottom of it there is zero play - the baseplate stays very securely locked down without any 'wiggling'. I'd contact their CS right away (they seem to be very good to deal with) and see about a replacement unit.

I called them and the lady was surprised by my description on how it got past QC and a replacement is in route. I will compare the 2 when it gets here and if it's the same as the one I have I'll just end up returning them both.

Also not that it matter, there wasn't a sticker on the box either labeling it as a King Cobra either.
