Thanks to a fellow member on TSD I was informed that the King Cobra razor was back in stock over at classic shaving priced at $239. I just ordered and paid for one.

Update: It seems like I might have gotten the last one as it now shows as out of stock...odd.

Congrats on the grab... the funny thing is, I got an email a few weeks ago indicating stock. I happened to have my phone out when the email hit, immediately went to site an no stock. Literally seconds later.

I emailed support asking when and if additional inventory would hit and they said they were just testing the notification system- false alarm. Today, I heard earlier on a forum that the Classics were in stock but had no luck grabbing. Just checked the King and still a bridesmaid.

Regardless, look forward to your thoughts on receipt!

Yeah, I am also signed up for notifications and never received one...weird.
Apparently their stock was gone in about two hours.

Yeah, and I was distracted and forgot to add the punchline to my story: today, no notifications on either and I am signed up for both!
Good for Classic but if I were in their procurement department I would increase my buy, particularly going into the holidays.

Enjoy in great health darkbulb

Thanks and yeah, I'd love to learn more about the particularities there. It's a highly sought after razor that has been OOS for many months..and then the qty that finally comes in lasts for two hours before they are sold out. It seems that they are either not ordering enough or, maybe more likely, there is some significant production/volume constraints at their manufacturer.

They stock a few send out email notifications and there gone in a blink. Probably only make 20-30 every 3-6 months. The Cobra Classic will probably never come back. It's been almost 2 years since they sold them. It appears Greg at iKon razors will get into the act of selling SE razors probably next year. Under his Shavecraft brand they will go I imagine for under $100.

My kharma is looking up this holiday season! I have had a dialogue with Classic customer service since the last notification emails went out [VERY funny and great sense of humor the entire time].

I had sent a note after the latest posting wondering when the next stocking shipment may be inbound and CS asked for my phone number yesterday. I just got off the phone having placed my order for a King Cobra!

I know these are extremely difficult to get and am thankful at the chance to pick one up, even if somewhat selfishly, but also love to call out what I feel is extraordinary customer service from a member of the vendor community.

Well done!

PS. not letting the cat out of the bag, I believe they will post more as available on the site soon Wink

I've had the same experience with their CS - great attitude and very friendly.
Really looking forward to my Cobra.

Gotta hide the Mongoose though....that could be trouble....
