The on-going saga of Karve and my #E plate.
Yesterday I asked DHL where my package was as Karve 'sent' it 29th April, and it's still in Canada.
DHL have still not picked it up.
They replied this morning...
""When checking updates online, it states "Shipment Record Received" this means your shipper has created the air waybill for your package but has not handed the item over to DHL Express for delivery"".
So Karve have not yet handed the item over to DHL to deliver to me.
It's a fake delivery advice from Karve...the plate is not ready, probably not even made yet.
Did Karve just send the delivery advice out to me to shut me up as I kept asking "where is my #E plate"?

Sent this to Karve just now...

My order is on it's way to me?
Really?
I asked DHL (yesterday) about my package as on-line tracking says that DHL have still not picked it up.
They replied this morning...
"" When checking updates online, it states "Shipment Record Received" this means your shipper has created the air waybill for your package but has not handed the item over to DHL Express for delivery""
So...the #E plate is still in your possession?
You haven't actually got it ready to hand to DHL?
Is the #E plate actually made yet?
I don't understand what you (Karve) are doing.
If you were upfront about the plate not being in stock and ready for immediate delivery then that's fine. I would understand what was going on...but to tell me it's in stock, then say it's in stock but not finished yet (?), then say it's on the way to me...when clearly you haven't even handed it over to DHL yet.
When can I really expect this #E plate to be in stock, finished, fit for delivery, and actually handed over to DHL to deliver?...

I won't hold my breath while waiting for a reply, but I will put their reply up on here (if/when I get one).

Seriously, I really don’t understand the guys on here who are bitching about fulfillment delays, when they placed orders from Karve knowing full well of the company’s track record for order fulfillment. It reminds me of that saying, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Are people who are following this thread insane to still be ordering from Karve? Maybe not insane, but I do think they should forfeit their right to complain when things don’t go well.

Problem is Whisk-her Away I had read of the problems...so I asked Karve if the #E plate really was 'in stock'.
Karve said it was in stock, so I ordered and paid for it.
But, it wasn't 'really' in stock at all.
So begins the long wait, and another disgruntled customer.
Will I buy from Karve again? No, not ever again.
I don't care what fancy razor he brings out now. I won't be buying from a company that I can't trust.

So why did you think you could trust them this time? That’s what I don’t understand.

Well, I had bought the stainless Karve with #C and #D plates a few months ago, and had no problem.
Received it here in NZ only 3 weeks after ordering it.
Happy customer! Nice razor, and enjoy using it.
So...when I read of the problems on here and I decided that I really needed an #E plate, I asked first if the #E plate was indeed 'in stock'.
And...that's when the fight started!
So my first contact with Karve was positive.
Item received promptly, and it's a great product.
My second dealings with Karve, not so good.
How long have people been having problems? Is it just recently?

This has been going on for months. This thread has been documenting Karve's problems for a long time.
