Soooo much belly aching in this thread. Like none of you have other razors to use in the meantime. I get it, it sucks to wait that long to get something you paid for already, but YOU WILL GET THE RAZOR. It's not a scam to take your money and not deliver a product. Can we move on from pummeling this long dead horse already?? Karve wait times have been long SINCE THE BEGINNING. If you went into this thinking otherwise I don't know what to tell you. I ordered mine when they first were released and it took a month to get to me. Was I worried? No, because I already knew it would take that long. I have many other razors that I used until then. It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, think about it...

I had to wait 6 months to get my Wolfman from James, but I didn't have to pay for it until a week before it shipped.

Timeless, Blackbird, Charcoal Goods do not take your money under the pretense that the goods are ready to ship.

4 months ago I paid my $ for a razor that isn't ready yet. Had I not switched to plain SS I'd still have nothing.

Friend of mine was on the way home from work in West VA. A guy in a pick up truck passing on a curve hit him head on. Killed instantly.

25 killed, 3 missing  in a tornado in Tennessee  day before yesterday. Stuff happens.

I'm glad you're confident you'll get your razor ... I'm from Missouri. You have to show me.

Sorry about your friend Jimmy. Yeah, stuff happens, but it still sucks.

No thank you!

I’m so glad I opted not to purchase the polished stainless steel... I was so close to buying it or should I say putting up my money to fund whatever project he’s doing at that time.

I have the brass Karve in C and D plates and tbh, I haven’t used it in months I bet. I can’t lie, I do enjoy the shave I get from it... it’s up there with my favorites (my Charcoal razors, my Timeless in SS and Titanium, my ATT S1)... But I just have little desire to use it when my other razors shave just as good if not better... And they have awesome customer service. I’m just leaning towards not wanting to support this company at all. There’s just way too many amazing options to allow someone to treat you like this... I won’t do it personally!

I put together my own on WCS. Polished it. It is not covered with patina. I have 10 more from good manufacturers. I don’t need anything more from Karve. I will never buy from him directly.

I give Chris Kirchen an interest free loan and he delivers every time. Never had a problem.

I am still amazed from the shave the Aluminum delivers. Deeper, closer shaves from an agile and nimble design. The Stainless Karve does not match it for me. Nor does the RAW-10, Charcoal or Wolfman among others. Can’t wait to order an Aluminum backup with other plates.

I would be very Interested in thoughts regarding the brass vs the SS.
Day before yesterday I shaved two days of growth with the SS Karve and the F SB plate. I decided it is my favorite between E, F, G. Great shave !

Today I shaved two days growth with the brass Karve and the F SB plate. The brass equaled the shave of the SS. In both cases I was using Polisilver blades.

Both materials deliver the goods.
Hey Jimmy, how do the E,F and G base plates compare with the 1.55 WR2 you just got in terms of blade feel?

To me the Karve is not as smooth as the WR2 in 1.25, or 1.55. Kind of a different animal. The E is a mild shave, maybe like a Charcoal Lv 2, the F is more like a Lv 3. The G is aggressive, with more blade feel than the F. I like the F SB best out of the mix. YMMV.
