Karve Shaving Co. A new DE Brass razor to market.

I just pre-ordered the Razor with D Plate and 3.5” Handle. If the B Plate is close to an EJ89, I’m hoping the D Plate will be more in line with the type of Shave I prefer. I was going to try to hold out until I heard some reviews, but I ended up looking at a bunch of pictures of the Razor on Instagram and ended up pulling the trigger. I’m excited to give this Razor a try when it arrives.

For the price and if it shaves as good as it looks, then it will be a real bargain.

Anyone get an email that theirs has shipped? Waiting to hear on mine

I have not heard anything about my order, unfortunately.

Anxiously waiting for someone to get one and write a review before I pull the trigger on an order. I did see a picture on Instagram with the razors being boxed up.

Well, that is a good sign and hopefully, we'll get a confirmation that they have gone out.

I received a reply to an email that I had sent to Chris Kirchen of Karve Shaving Co. in regards to which Base Plate he recommended based on some of the Razors I currently use and enjoy. I told him that some of the Razors I use regularly are Charcoal Goods lvl 2 SB and OC, the  Timeless .95 OC, the Blackland Blackbird SB and OC, and the BBS-1. Chris replied-

“I think a D is a good pick...one of my testers has several of those razors and he compares the D to them.  I designed the razor so that the exposure is a little on the light side relative to the gap, so it should be aggressive while not being harsh.  Let me know if you want to stick with the D plate.”

I’m sticking with the “D” plate based on his recommendation, and I’m glad to hear that orders are getting ready to ship. Looking forward to testing this one out!
