Most Karve razors if not all come with a matte finish. I totally understand that polishing and finishing is a pain and very costly. So I decided to do my own. I watched a couple of Youtubes on polishing in particular brass as my Karve is brass. I ordered an assortment of sand papers from Amazon in various grits (220-3000). Also needed is oil. I used 3 in 1. This is not easy as when I started I used a 220 grit and although it was polishing there were a million scratch marks. No panic as if I ruined the razor it was already done. However, as I progressed and got upto 1200 grit the scratches started to disappear. The brass surface must be constantly lubricated. After I used the 3000 grit paper the finish started to really look great. To clean up I soaked the razor in Dawn liquid which will not damage metal. You don't really need polish.
