"Very smooth, very sharp" and for me longer lasting than Feathers.

Kai blades are really great for me. They are very sharp and very smooth and I really like them. However, the price is what keeps me from using them. I find Polsilver Super Iridium blades to also be fantastic blades and since they only cost 20¢ each I'm more than happy to use them as my everyday blade.

Blades are YMMV. I've tried both feathers and Kai's, fortunately could not shave with them. They were tugging for me.

This just goes to further demonstrate that blades are probably the most variable part of the shave, I find Feathers a bit raspy and when I have been able to use them they haven't lasted long enough to justify the price over other de blades. The Kai de blade I've found to be almost as sharp as a Feather but lacking that rough first shave experience but lasting to four or five 3 pass shaves. YMMV indeed!

yeah, blades are most definitely the biggest YMMV aspect of wet shaving, IMHO.

My favorite current production blades are Personna HU blades but when I became aware of the Kai blades, and eventually found vendors, I bought about 130 of them. They compare very favorably with the Personnas. I really like the way they shave. I'm happy with the Kai blades.

I'm going to make an addendum to my previous post for these blades.  Redact and retract everything I said.  These blades more than any other proves YMMV even on your own shaves.  The first few shaves with these we're pretty darn good.... Granted I only used the R41.... In every other razor I have used these in they are horrid..... Rough... Dragging.... Dorco from Walmart bad.... I definitely won't buy these again.... In the r41 amazing....every other razor in the den (8 tried so far) these suck.  Considering the price and the fact my results in so many razors were so bad these are not for me.

That's regrettable. I hope you didn't buy them in large numbers!

KAI has become my go to blade. i find that they are sharp enough to work with mild razors and forgiving enough for very aggressive ones. I just wish they would fit in my Probak.

I just finished using a couple of Kai blades. They were OK in my EJ DE89, but not great. They dragged and pulled a bit on the first shave, not at all on the second through . The shaves were not particularly smooth, an were nor irritating. An OK blade for me in this razor, but just OK.
