I’m still buying new stuff once in a while, but time flies.

Checked my emails and saw I haven’t bought at Gift&Care for more than 9 years.

Used to buy from them monthly back in the day.

I’m from Denmark, Europe.

Pulled the trigger on 2 RazoRock GameChanger closed comb, one in 0.68 and one in 0.84 with the super knurl and bulldog handle.

What should I expect ?

A nice budget razor or a great shaving performer ?

Next up is a couple of Lupo razors probably.

Good to see your post after a long time Claus. Hope you are doing fine.

GC is a decent performer(. 84 a bit more efficient than the other plate) but I would like to recommend you Aylsworth Apex for your next purchase.

Hey Jags,

Good to hear from you.

Long time no see.

I’m still collecting razors.

I sold all my DE razors back in 2015/2016, I had amassed more than 75 DE razors back then, all bought new.

Now I’m rebuying the DE razors I thought were the better performers and then some.

I know RazoRock is a budget brand, and I did own a couple of their SS razors back in the day, but never really got around to testing them thoroughly enough.

This time around I make sure to really use and test the razors I buy. I’m at 25 DE razors now.

I’ll make sure to check that Aylsworth Apex out. Do you happen to know if there is a vendor of it in Europe ?
Is it a US based company ?
I can see I can get the Electro polished SS for $159.

Fun thing is that I have found out I really enjoy my milder razors more than I used to do. My cheap Merkur 34C is among my favourite razors now. Used to hate it for being too short for my XL hands and too mild. Now I love it.
Weird how things can change when you improve your technique and add years to your experience.

Glad to read your posts, Claus. Are you still over-spraying your colognes? Big Grin

I have a .84 OC Game Changer and in my opinion, for the price, this is one of the greatest stainless steel razors on the market.

Claus, Aylsworth is a USA based brand. Their website do not mention any European vendor/s. Best option would be to look for someone traveling from USA to Europe for your shopping list..

OC GC 84?

Are you a daily shaver?  Tough beard?  Better than SB?  Why?

Cheers!

Claus, they're both superb razors and made in Canada. I think it's a better razor than the Wolfman WR1.

SB 0.84 is very smooth and efficient. The only thing you may want to look at is upgrading the handle.

Better than Wolfman WR-1 ?

I gave up on my DE razors back in 2015, sold all I had, about the same time Wolfman DE razors started to get really hyped up. I’m now collecting DE razors again, once again from scratch. I started again in 2021, so I’m at 25 DE razors now.

What kind of handle would you suggest for an upgrade ?

I once owned 5 of the UFO razor handles, sold them too, they were superb quality handles.
Cheers, Claus from Denmark
