Soap is floral but toned down by cedarwood and patchouli.  Once you lather it will open up.

Phew! whollykaw you've scared me when I couldn't believe what my mother said to me today, and are you 100% sure this soap is for men  Mad

I have this very soap and it could not be more masculine than that! Please tell your Mother that your wet-shaving brothers are squarely enjoying this soap!

Happy that you came to the conclusion that the scent is for men on your own!! I am sure you know this but the soaps tend to be like that, the scent off the puck does not give out all the complexities. It comes out in the lather. Enjoy your purchase!

A "perfect storm" mail call. Won the CH3 on a raffle and just got lucky on BST with the DBW Jefferson.

I recently purchased a couple of Paladins from members. You will notice they have the same knot code (2CL....). These are wonderful knots and on the El Dorado with 56.5mm loft it makes for a perfect brush. Medium backbone (maybe) and amazingly soft tips with no scrub at all. The knot feels similar to my Marfin knots, quite a complement.
Paladin Briar Sumo 24mm badger brush, 50.5 loft (2CLND3 knot)
Paladin Tortoise Tut 26mm badger brush, 52.5mm loft (2CLNA4 knot)
Paladin Briar El Dorado 28mm badger brush, 56.5mm loft (2CLNA4) knot)

My first ever jars of MdC arrived last week. Took them about two weeks to get here; they went to New York, then to Chicago, and then back into Europe (Naples, Italy). It was actually 20 Euro cheaper having them shipped to the States (taxes). The Citrus smells magical and the Rose is an earthy rose scent...I'll have to lather it to really appreciate it.

The mailman dropped off the razors I picked up from Jim (@Monty) on the B/S/T.
As a PIF, he sent the Parker Shavette and the blades.  The razors are in beautiful condition and he got these to me in no time at all.  It was just a great experience dealing with him. Smile
