4 magnets arrived. Glossy and hard to photograph well. Blade tuck for size comparison. What will I do with them you ask ? I have no idea

The G5A should be similar to the bulb in my Omega Evo… the 26mm gives it less backbone as I find the 28mm Evo has a ton.

Looking forward to reading more about your G5a knot. I have one in the cart now! With all the handles I have been acquiring, I am trying different types of knots to see what I like bestest!

Deer Hunter pen
So excited to find this pen for my Dad! Thanks to Tim Knothead for creating such a wonderful pen. My Dad is an avid hunter, fisher, and trapper. I really think he is going to love it! Should be in his mailbox Friday.

Just got a nice lot of vintage razors.  First time using a GEM!

Anxious to see these knots in a handle.
I looked at the G5 on the Oumo AliExpress website and decided that I wasn’t sure enough to put it in a nice handle.  If I liked the knot and it was in a boring handle, then I wouldn’t use it.
Also, I’m not sure about synth fan knots.  I’m skeptical about the scritch and wonder if it will just feel wrong.  Most synth fan knots look too flat to work well…
Please give us a review…or two!

Today was very much like Christmas in July, without the annoying ads and Hallmark movies!

Only one package was scheduled to arrive, but instead three showed up!



Starting on the left, a Lamy Safari fountain pen. My first pen 3 years ago, is a Pilot Metropolitan. I like it, but seem to have difficulties with ink getting onto the area above the nib were my fingers grasp the pen, and I look messy! So I decided to get the Safari, as it is also said to be a good workhorse and starter pen. The advice I read was to get a different nib than the first, and then I can see if I like that nib better. I really love the way fountain pens write, and I want to start using one at work if I can do so without the inky fingers! Under the pen I also received some ink cartridges.

Next, going clockwise, are the pocket notebooks in a cool intergalactic photo (according the Word Notebooks description). I have seen the image, and can't pin it down. My initial thought is a close up of the Horsehead nebula in Orion, but have been unable to confirm. Even though a review mentioned bleed through issues with some fountain pens, the covers and bullet points on the pages pushed it into my cart!

Resting on the notebooks is the Version 2 of the Parker injectable. Dave in KY sold me my first Parker, thus propelling me into the SE world, and it is a mild fave. The V2 has the Parker name laser etched and is, according the the website, more efficient. More on that in my Journal. Alongside it is a nice case that fits it well. 

And along the bottom, my greedy acquisition of three handles by Paul Stubble Daddy, handles that I eyed when he posted photos, and then pined for. It was tearing me apart, thinking I did not need any more handles, but man, Aurora borealis and Communion just spoke to me! And that cocobolo wood stunned me when I first saw it. And I decided that I would get them, and take my time setting the perfect knot in each! More on that in the Journal, as well.
