I made what may seem a very BORING full circle. A new MERKUR HD arrived to finally replace my first razor of that model gifted to a nephew. I loaded a rationed SUPER IRIDIUM of the silver/grey-light blue 10 pack Russian production previous to the recently discontinued POLSILVERS and that best seller and by now wearisome controversial MITCHELL'S WOOL FAT. The Brush is no longer a shedding Grosvenor but my pet of pets PALADIN LOTUS and I finished with my also rationed bottle of vintage, pre reformulation GUERLAIN IMPERIALE. In essence I recreated that ephiphany shave after abandoning MERKUR blades and TRUMPER'S ROSE that wetshaving might be worth the effort. I did make another humble advance. I finally bought a dozen dedicated barber towels; 100 percent cotton and fleecy 17"x26" I virtually stole on EVILBAY.

Did I mention I found this NOS Fili 12 in Portugal and grabbed it. Well it arrived tonight and I'm happy to show it off.

I was visiting my friend, Pam (msblackwolf), and I called Johnny but he and his wife were leaving to go to Madison to see his family so, unfortunately, I didn't get to see him.  Pam lives about 30-40 minutes from Wausau so we decided to go, anyway, to do a bit of shopping and that is when I saw the soap.

A great week was capped off by winning two eBay auctions (Talbot Shaving)and being fast enough to snag a Bufflehead soap.
