I caved as soon as I saw the newsletter. Been contemplating an 84 or the Lupo 95 for a while now, but haven't pulled the trigger because I'm pretty sure they won't give me the efficiency I look for in a 1-pass shave. Hopefully the 1.05 fits the bill.

Yes, I did as well as ALI. I have 2 handles and definitely one, maybe two caps. So, yeah this is definitely a great deal without question. Even if you needed a whole razor it would still be a great deal, just happens to be a better one if you already have the parts!!!

I ended up buying the plate mid post. I was posting about it elsewhere in the forum, and I went back to my email for info and clicked on the link and ended up buying it before I finished my post. I agree the 84 will not give you what you're looking for with one pass. I have the 68, 84, and Lupo 95 OC, I started out with the 68 and found it to be too mild, so I upgraded to the 84 which I didn't feel was a whole world different. I don't know about the Lupo 95 SB, but I have the open comb which is pretty much my main RazoRock razor right now. I do also own the Game Changer 84 open comb which I enjoy using. Hopefully the 1.05 will give you what you're looking for, I know I'm excited to try it.

Mine is en route. Should be here next Thursday. I am hoping it is a blend between my Lupo.95 and Gamechanger.84 feom a blade exposure. Anyone know what the specs are for the positive blade exposure?

I wish I did. If you find that out, please post. It just mentions positive blade exposure as I'm sure you're aware.I know my Karve SB is 1.10mm gap and 0.17mm in exposure so I'm hoping this is similar. I'm also hoping it's similar to the Lupo .95 OC in efficiency. The .84 fell a little short for me in feel. And mine is due to arrive Tuesday. 

GrizzlyCA ...the Lupo .95 SB is as "aggressive" as I need. If, God forbid, I should ever need to shave everyday, I'd put my GC 84-P, back in daily use. I've shaved 7 days in a row with Lupo as a test. My neck was a little irritated by the end of the week. I did the same 'test' with the GC 84-P and no issues. The GC 84-P isn't quite as 'efficient' as the Lupo.

Rocket_Boy totally agree. I find the GC an easy daily driver. I mix up between the GC and Lupo for daily use.

I enjoyed this razor, the 1.05 GameChanger. Very efficient. Could have stopped at 2 passes. Excellent value.
