It’s worth getting a Carbon Cx?

I love Carbon. The original plate is fantastic imo as are the + and ++ plates. For me, it is totally worth it.

I have seen at least one Carbon CX razor recently sold from a military base in the EU on BST.  Not sure if that would help with customs or not.  Seller said they were on a base and could ship USPS or to EU easily.  I have the .71 - and like it for head shaving.  Slimmer than Timeless.  If it helps with customs if it is already in EU - keep an eye on BST and post a WTB from EU.  Tatara are well made and also have slim heads.  The bottom of the handles on Tatara non adjustable razors are round - unlikely to work with and aftermarket stands - so I would recommend considering getting the stand from Tatara.  Plus it is a cool looking stand and not super expensive.  Check out horror stories about trying to return something to Tatara on these boards as it is likely to get stuck in incoming Portugal customs.  Tatara has at least a few distributors in the States so they may have a distributor in your county.  Happy new year.  Another vote to avoid steep customs as others have suggested.

I can never remember the blade gaps for the Carbon CX series, but I have always put more stock into blade exposure than blade gap. (They're both part of the equation, but I find the former to be a better assessment of smoothness.) I believe the ++ plate has negative blade exposure.

I own all of the below ...

The standard plate is more blade forward and the + plate has neutral blade exposure.

The standard plate and H&S P076 are similar for me, though the latter is more blade forward and more efficient.

The H&S N075 is blade neutral but (for me) less efficient than the R4 plate. I find myself applying a little more pressure with it, whereas with the R4, letting the weight of the head work is perfect. The Rockwell 6S is really one of the best shavers out there ... shame it's so damn ugly.

Customs and delivery from Tatara won't be an issue for the OP. He's next door in Spain. I've received orders from Tatara within days on the economy service - to London - and no custom value declared.

Maybe you can find or borrow a Carbon on a forum in Spain/Europe to get around the customs issue?

Lately the Carbon Cx Web caught my attention. It looks so good. Bit I’m not sure if it will work for me and can’t read many reviews out there especially for the .71 Mild plate.

I have sensitive skin, and normal beard (not very populated) that grows in many directions.

Now I can shave every day with my Wolfman WR2 SB 1.05 (wich I love) and Rockwell 6S R4/R5.

I have some RAD for a new good razor that serves me well, like the ones mentioned. Smooth and efficient.

With Carbon, I’m sure for me it should be 0.68 or 0.71. I can see 0.71 is milder because less blade exposure, but not sure about it efficiency.

Also the H&S P075 caught my attention but not sure about it.

Living in Europe, it’s a bit risky to buy a razor because high customs fees, so I want to be sure.

There was a Carbon CX-Damascus on their website for $1100 (sold out). Only a few are made at a time. What is a good deal is when they have stainless steel seconds going for $199 .
