A few years ago when the Mongoose was the new kid in town I bought one and enjoyed it but not nearly as much I thought I would and eventually sold it. I took a couple of years off from the shaving hobby. Upon my reimmersion I saw lots of Mongoose lookalikes and bought the RazorRock Falcon, which is great. I don't, however, see the 'goose. Just curious. Are they still in the game?
I'm not sure but I wouldn't think so. However, I just looked at both of their retailers and they are out of stock on everything except for a couple of handles. The last post on their Facebook page was on April 23rd.
I do wish them the best but I must say that it's been almost 2 years since I even used my Mongoose. I just prefer the GEM blades over the Artist Club blades.

I haven't used the Mongoose, but with the dramatic increase in Feather AC blade-using razors, it may be harder for Mongoose to meet their margins now than when they only shared the market with the Cobra Classic.
And I agree with you, I like the GEM SE blades more than I like the Feather AC blades. The GEM blades last longer for me and the shaves are more satisfying.

Gents, you have inspired me to get a blade sampler kit for my Alumigoose. I got the head very reasonable and use it with a Weber bulldog. But it only came with a few blades, so I have yet to find "mine". Truth be told, I haven't really used it much. Again, inspiration to do so. Thanks!
It appears that Mongoose Razors has become non existent. The two guys who started the company didn't really do it for the money but to compete with the Cobra Classic. They ran into problems with their machine shop and that kind of finished them off. I wouldn't feel bad for them as both as very successful business men in the South Florida area. This is based on fact rather then speculation. Of course this can change on a dime.
I just spoke with Bruce Weber, the main guy behind Mongoose. They are definitely still alive and kicking. There should be matte black & grey aluminum Mongooses arriving at Maggard in a few weeks. They are also shipping the stainless Mongooses to Maggard this week & next week.
