I am a "born again" MMOC believer as of yesterday, after having tried using it unsuccessfully several times in the past and having nicks cuts and weepers and the "tore my face" episodes. I decided to give it another shot after reading a lot on the technique and kept the razor - "flat against the face", zero pressure and slow short strokes.
I got one of the best BBS shaves of my life and once I got the handle on the technique and felt more confident - it was just like any other DE in moving around my face contours , but being mindful.
It's nearly 24 hours now and it's time for Monday shave but I think the BBS lasted for quite a while yesterday. I guess I'll use the Micromatic clog pruf today as there isn't as much stubble to clean as usual !
I was using a Personna Gem PTFE coated blade on its third day !

Nice! Can't wait to get my hands on an MMOC. Found three GEMs at the antique store yesterday. A 1914 (style, probably manufactured a year or two later), a 1924 style (manufactured a few years earlier -- the one that essentially turned into the "24) and a Bullet. Today I found a Clog Pruf in a dark corner of my shaving cabinet. So I've got all the significant models except the OC. Alas, looking forward to taking them out for a spin tomorrow.
Will run 'em against the Ikon Tech, which has recently become my favorite razor. (At least until tomorrow anyway.)
