Hi. Thanks BnM, I like the sound of the Razorock. I am trying out bump patrol at moment. Seems to be doing the job but will try the razorock if I get another ingrown hair & will compare the two.

So far, Tend Skin seems to work best for me. It's a little pricey, but it works. Someone just sent me a homemade TendSkin recipe I plan to try soon.

Hi. Here is my mini reveiw of Bump Stop & Razorock Problem Solver fo ingrown hairs. I have had 2 ingrown hairs(at different times) so first was the Bump Stop: This was good, as soon as I applied to the infected area after about 20-30mins the pain eased of & it reduced the swelling. After a few days the bump was quite reduced & burst on a wash after work, on which I was able to remove hair with very little pain. Now the Razorock which is the one I recommend for speedy results works by slowly dissolving or burning(as this is what I felt each time I applied it) the skin to show the the ingrown hair, so then it can be removed. Now I have sensitive skin that could be why I had a burning sensation. Both products work in different ways but results the same but it was razorock for me as it worked quicker allowing me to enjoy my shaves. I have also solved the reason why I get ingrown hair it is due to medication that makes my hair grow quicker than normal & as the dermatologist said DE shaving cuts closer to the skin causing the odd 1 or 2 hairs to retract under the skin. He said to use good face scrub & a brush with backbone to lift the hairs up & not to use circular motion but up & down instead. He also said to rebrush my face after I have finished shaving. Lets see what happens. Cheers

This was great! I also shave sensitive neck skin and often get ingrowns. But I'm new to wet shaving and still improving my technique. I did make my own tend skin type solution and it works ok, but I may try Razorocks also, I think I need AHAs and other face healing acids to help the process. I only shave WTG and XTG and I get a really close shave. Plus I shave at night so my face has time to heal. Thanks guys for the great info.

I had a pretty gnarly ingrown hair that I dug out before getting in the shower today. the ingrown was curled up under the skin and causing a noticeable red bump that was starting to hurt. I wish I took photos before pulling it out to show everyone.

I have had some ingrown on my neck also and have had the best success with the Anthony Logistics Ingrown Hair Treatment gel. I got a sample at Sephora and it seemed to work better than Bump Patrol, which also helped.

Agree that it's the AHAs. Will try the RazoRock in the future.

I think the directions on the Anthony said to use a few times a day until it clears up. I also avoid shaving as that always makes it worse.

To prevent ingrown hairs is simple: use a milder razor AND do not shave against the grain. Remember that shaving is beard reduction & not elimination. It also helps to use a sharp blade.
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
