Yes, shipping can be hazardous.

The railroad is considering leaving LA. The police chief has suggested to anyone thinking of going there not to. Crime is out of control and I think LA is one of the places with a DA who won't prosecute crime. Too much work to be bother him with I guess. The DA is there to collect a paycheck only.

Gentlemen, we have very few rules here at DFS and one of them is no politics.  Talking about "leftist" or "blue" (cities or states) or "right wing" or "red" (cities or states) belongs in a forum based around politics, not here.  Thank you.

I'm in the US and I don't routinely sell much, but have off and on. In any case I usually go USPS unless the item is large enough to be more economical with UPS. 

In either case I insure it for the full value. Years ago I'd assume it would get where it was going without the extra $, but came to the conclusion that the relatively few dollars is worth the peace of mind. So far I haven't had anything I've sent lost or stolen.
