Oh man, this is a tough one. im just getting into frags so i don't have a huge pool to chose from.
It would be hard for me to against Bleu de Chanel. MASSIVE compliment getter, can wear it all year and in all situations and I love the grapefruit note.
However I just got my nose on some of the Atelier line that Will mentioned including the Orange Sanguine and they are amazing. I loved the Cedrat Entrivant and Pomelo Paradis!! Great for casual warm weather.
But alas I will stick with Bleu de Chanel........it is just so well received by everyone that has smelled it on me

Someone asked me this question recently and I've had a bit of trouble with it, to be honest. I LOVE perfume. It's hard for me to choose. It would have to be something versatile and inoffensive, but with enough craft to make it unique and beautiful all the same. Though my current favorite perfume is Bogue Profumo Maai (a strange, rich tuberose chypre from Italy), I think that, for a fragrance I could wear for the rest of my life, I land on a tie between Chanel Pour Monsieur (the original Eau de Toilette, not the EdP/Concentrée) and Atelier Orange Sanguine.
Honestly, I think I favor the Orange Sanguine a bit because it's much easier to obtain in the US. Anyway, what's your choice?

Every wet shaver seems to gravitate towards one aspect of the shave and over indulge. Some guys have a ton of brushes and few aftershaves, others a ton of razors and few brushes; my indulgence is aftershave and with 30 plus offerings, I wear old spice weekly. Grab a bottle of the cologne spray which is the aftershave on steroids (exact scent no difference) and you've got all day goodness. I've. Converted a ton of fellow generation Xers in the office to OldSpice after morning meetings after they ask what are you wearing...."that's Old Spice"? They abruptly get a bottle that day. It's hard now to go to a meeting in our office and not smell OldSpice.(07-15-2015, 04:33 AM)steeleshaves Wrote: I am going to get hammered on this I'm sure. Old Spice. Vintage, Indian, new..... Doesn't matter. My grandfather wore it, my Dad wore it/wears it, and I wear it. Interestingly, my wife can't tell a lick of difference between the bottles of old spice my grandpa had that were full, the "Indian old spice" and the "new old spice" end of that day this stuff is timeless, smells great, and one I'll always use.
You inspired me to get a bottle. Mine is the new stuff, made in Canada. Am now getting obsessed and thinking about trying the stuff made in India. Am reassuring myself with your post that it's not all that different so I can calm down I love the Old Spice I just bought. Thanks for inspiring me to get a classic.
What other aftershaves do you recommend?

I have the entire clubman line and the original is great, long staying power classic barber shop scent. If you're into menthol and like that feel after a shave, clubman Osage rub to me smells and feels and last as long as the Fine Snake bite for half the cost. Proraso Green aftershave is fantastic.... Ogala bay rum and peppercorn I have found smells great and has decent staying power; it's a little thicker than normal aftershave but I would still classify it as an aftershave and not a balm; unlike Micky lee soap works which, is sold as an aftershave and is balm thick. Fine American Blend is fantastic and last a good while. Brut and Aqua Velva blue are decent aftershaves found in chain stores. If you like cinnamon, clubman bay rum is full of it but, burns like hell though. These would be my reccomedations taking staying power and cost into account. The most expensive of the aforementioned is about 17.00 several are under 10.00.

If I had to choose only one of them, it would without doubt Paco Rabanne.

Mi piace Guerlain Vetiver, Eau Sauvage e Pour Un Homme--bravo! Sopratutto Pour Un Homme oscuro. Conosce Caron Yatagan?
