Maybe its just me, but I dont see what the big deal is...
Are you wondering what we, as shavers, do to create lather, and how much lather we create for each shave?
Are you wondering how much money "we" waste with excess lather and/or inexpensive soaps that some can make disappear quickly?
Are you wondering how it is possible that 1 man can go through 20 soaps in 6 months?
I'm wondering what the big deal is, honestly...
I don't think the guy has gone through 20 brand new soaps in 2016. That just doesn't seem possible, unless he is lathering 10 times a day and throwing it away, which is his prerogative, as he paid for it. In fact, I think it is a fairly safe assumption that these 20 soaps have been regularly used, and have finally been killed...it just so happens that all have met their demise within the last 6 months...
With that said...does it really matter? If his particular soap usage is the reason for the thread, it begs the question...who cares? Who cares how quickly someone else goes through soap? Who cares what madness he goes through in order TO go through soaps so quickly? Who cares how much soap he might waste after each shave as a result of hyper-loading and specifically trying to go through soaps?
It's one thing to discuss how we each load our brushes, and what the thoughts are behind those processes for each of us. That is a very interesting topic, to be certain, and one in which I am keen on hearing the thoughts and processes of other members.
It's quite another to try and dissect 1 individual person's soap usage...the how's, the why's, and the wherefor's, without even trying to get that individual person's actual input.
If you really want to know...his blog has a contact form. Contact him. Ask him. Clear the matter up for yourself, and move on.
Then let's get back to discussing how, why, and how much we each load for ourselves, as a topic of interest...
