I've kept an eye out for years, but admit I have had times I have not checked auction sites as regularly as I could have. I've had some suspected to be a Nano get by, and others I thought was a Nano I bought to be disappointed when they arrived. Lightning finally struck, however, and I got one!

L to R: Wee Scot 2 Nano, Wee Scot 2 Butterscotch resized, Modern day Wee Scot 2, now just the Wee Scot as only 1 size is sold (as per Gary Young you could actually consider the Case the Wee Scot 3 as the Simpson family did unofficially).

The middle was one I had thought to be a Nano, but it wasn't upon arrival. It is notoriously difficult to tell if it is the slightly smaller one on just a picture alone. Other items can help in estimating the size. Worse yet is most sellers don't know about the various brush measurements, or have calipers to assist in measuring said brush.

Wee Scot 2 Nano specs:

Overall Length: 61.3mm
Handle Length: 26.1mm
Loft length: 35.2mm
Knot size: 12.0mm

Modern Day Wee Scot 2, or just Wee Scot:

Overall Length: 64.2mm
Handle Length: 30.9mm
Loft length: 33.3mm
Knot size: 14.5mm

Butterscotch Wee Scot 2:

Overall Length: 64.9mm
Handle Length: 30.4mm
Loft length: 34.5mm
Knot size: 14.5mm

The only thing I could do now is somehow acquire an original Wee Scot 1. Picture per drP.

I could see it going for a pretty penny considering I have never seen the one on the right up for sale at any time, or anyone reporting buying one.

[...snip...]
Huh  Why does the middle one say "HOFFRITZ"?

And, FWIW, simpsonshavingbrushes.com says of the current Wee Scot:

Quote:Wee Scot approximate brush specifications:

Overall brush height - 68 mm
Handle height - 30 mm
Knot loft - 38 mm
Knot diameter - 13 mm
Weight - 19 g

The dimensions can vary slightly because of being handmade. Middle one says Hoffritz as it was branded for Hoffritz to be sold by them.
