Me either. Always wanted to try it in the terracotta container but never had the funds when it was available. Then it went crazier.......

In my opinion, the soap is good, but not as good as the modern top tier bases.  However, I think the scent is quite unique, refined, and fantastic!

I would have to agree with most of the above comments. It was a nice soap, but there are better ones available, now.
Scent is completely subjective. It wasn't a favourite, but it was pleasant.

I hadn’t heard this one before. It’s making me laugh more than necessary… Big Grin

What I would LOVE is a dupe of the aftershave balm. To me, it's similar to the soap but the scent of the balm is really on a whole other level. The balm is hands down my favorite scent of any shaving product I've come across whether it be soap, splash or balm.

I agree with Ols67 on this one - performance isn't at today's top tier but smells great.  I have one puck left in the terra cotta container.  Its a bit small and you have to use a smaller brush to load.  I have a couple of bottles of the aftershave balm (milk?) It smells very nice too and soothes nicely.  I'll pull it all out for my next shave.  Happy2

I originally loved the scent and performance, but eventually hated the scent and didn't care for the performance (realized it burned my skin a bit). I had 7 refills that I sold, probably at a loss, no regrets.

How long did it take you to realize it burned your skin?  That’s a lot of buying a product as you are burning your skin!

Can I ask if anyone ever remembers if there was ever a scent description or included notes officially or unofficially? Was looking for an ingredients list online but came up empty. I can’t get ahold of my old review to see my notes. I was hoping to see what parfum or possible spices that could be in the ingredients. As far as what it smelled like to me, most notable to me was a smokey chocolate facet to the shave soap.

It still had a fresher side or almost a deeper balance. I remember it wasn’t like you could get a quick sniff off the puck. It was pretty rich to my nice and so I usually felt like you really had to take a big whiff to smell and appreciate it. Dare I say a bit of gourmand, “smells so good you want to eat it”?
