Howdy, Folks--New in California

Howdy, Folks. Relatively new to the wets shave community, living in California. I'm 42 years old, and have despised shaving my whole life, thus I have a rather large beard and mustache. However, about 2 1/2 months ago, I started shaving my head as a way to thwart Mother Nature's efforts to control my appearance. My backwards marching rabbits were troublesome, so I shaved...and I will never have hair again. I LOVE shaving.

I shave my chrome dome every night using DE razors and traditional accoutrements. I have a small, but growing, collection of vintage and modern DE razors, and a modest, yet ever-expanding, Shave Den.

I have come to LOVE shaving through learning the art of the Traditional Shave, and I look forward to expanding both my knowledge and my enjoyment through participation in this community.

Good chance we have- that is my last weim who passed ~6 years ago and I have been using his pic for a LONG time.

Adopted two more about 5 years ago.

Good luck with that. I LOVE my beard! 6 months untrimmed so far, going for the full year...then we shall see...

BadDad I'm quite familiar with Bishop, small little town! I pass through there almost every year on my way to Mammoth.

I work in Mammoth. That's where I am as I type this, in fact. We should get together for a Cuppa Joe some time!
