EDIT: Nevermind, Google had the answer...

I don't think this functionality exists in the forum software we use by default. I've asked our themer, leefish, if this is easily doable without a ton of modifications.

They would definitely be cool to have but only if it isn't too much trouble.

It is actually doable; unfortunately, theming it and making it work with the current editor needs some modifications and it does get a bit shaky with a lot of nested quotes. I will see what i have in my goodies bag and send andrewjs18 some files.

EDIT: adding it to the editor means modifying core files, and it goes wonky on preview, but just making it possible to use the tag is doable.

What about using white text?
Drag the cursor over the text from here...
... to here to make it visible.

Oh. In my browser, alleged spelling errors are underlined with red dots, and my chosen highlight colour is very low contrast with the still-white text.
I suppose I could always copy & paste it somewhere, then make it the default text colour and style.
But who's got time for that?  Rolleyes

Thing is, those of us using DFS Dark mode (probably me and only me) can see white text immediately, since in Dark mode, a light text color is the default. Smile

Yeah, I don't see the appeal of Dark Mode.

Though more and more apps, programs and websites offer a dark mode, it doesn’t seem to have caught on here at DFS. Every day, I have to highlight text that someone unknowingly posted using a dark font, and which is thus invisible in the DFS Dark theme.

I use dark mode to spare my eyes from the inevitable white glare that is still so prevalent on computer and phone screens. (When you stare at a screen for a living, every little break from the norm counts.)
