Hi Freddy, This  is Mary Lou. I liked your zoo keeper video as well.
My daughter sent me this video and it makes my heart happy every time I watch it.  (Assuming I can get the link to load)

Hunting around the house for a bit orange fabric scrap.
I need it for making a mask for this winter. (Yes, I have my own sewing machines.)
It's gonna be mostly white fabric, with six small irregular black iron-on patches over the mouth, and a lightly-stuffed orange cone over the nose.
Ta-da! Snowman mask.

Hi Mary Lou.  I had seen this recently and it just made me smile.  Videos like the Melbourne zookeeper and this one are so needed in these pandemic times.  It makes me think that the fight to the other side of the COVID-19 horror will definitely be worth it. Happy2

Hoo-ray!
Our favourite hole-in-the-wall cafe, which had announced that they were closing permanently last April or so, has re-opened.
The seating capacity is reduced to about a third, and masks are required until you are seated, but it's still the same great coffee.

What hand is that, exactly? Sort of a Spencerian, but with original capitals?
Is that with a flex nib?
Fountain pen or dip pen?

Hi John!  That’s just my regular handwriting...I don’t know what one would call the “hand.”  I can’t remember for the life of me what pen I used to write those quotes.  I don’t have any dip pens though.

I am glad that you favorite restaurant re-opened!  Mine was an Italian place in Pittsburgh called Pasta Piatto.  It closed way before the pandemic, years ago, and never reopened.  It was a classy little place, and the food was tremendous.  Great memories of taking my girlfriend (now my wife) there on dates!

Well, we're not in lockdown anymore, but our lives have never been excessively social, so I have time to spend in the shop.

Since I almost never use power tools (apart from a drill every now and then), projects take some time. I enjoy the process, so that's not a big deal.

I made this for the shop. It is a little organizer made from pallet wood. More of a practice project than anything.
