I check the progress of packages sent across the nation and in one case the world.

The last of a series of parts for one adult "toy" will arrive today. More parts for it and other adult items are scheduled for Monday.

The masks I ordered at the beginning of the month are still at the airport in Hong Kong from what I can find out. But a mystery package received postage from a shipping outfit I never heard of before, so maybe they finally landed in the USA?

I need to start getting up early and exercising.

Six kids.  That'll keep you busy during normal times.  My wife and I raised 5.

Another of my hobbies is woodworking. I'm a rank amateur, but I enjoy it when I can get the time to work at it.

I recently made a little box for some of my record player stuff. This had to be presentable, as it will be in the living room......and had to be approved by the management here. Smile

It's made from scrap wood. Maple top, mahogany sides and cedar bottom. All done with hand tools, so I could enjoy the process.

A second project drew inspiration from the fact that my back developed an itch a few days ago. While I was contorting myself trying to scratch that itch, I decided that I needed a back scratcher. I went out to the burn pile and picked out a piece of wood and started working at it with a spokeshave. Laminated another piece to it to give it some depth and then came up with this:

It works great and my back is very happy.

Finally, I decided that my daughter needed a plane of her own, so I found one that was included in a lot that I bought a while ago. It was in bad shape as you can see.

The rest of it wasn't much better. I spent a couple of hours on it and wound up with this:

Now my daughter has her own plane and can work away while she's in the shop with me. We've built a couple of projects together, including a tool-tote and she's been filling it with her own set of tools as she learns how to use them.

It keeps us busy, and we enjoy the time together.

Yohann, that is just amazing and the fact that your daughter has an interest makes the hobby so much better.  I hope we'll see more of your work. Happy2
