There are a lot of times we like to bish and gripe, but I'll start I guess. Thanks oldschoolsteel for selling me a krona for a fair price instead of resorting to Ebay. There was another guy (Can't remember who it is now) that sold me three Saponificio Varesino soaps (Used one or two times), with the matching AS and two of their wooden bowls for a grand total of $110.

Has anybody here received the same treatment as far as deals/PIFs?

If you have speak up. From what I have seen this place is awesome that way.

I have been fortunate to been able to help other members and that's enough for me. I don't do it to get credit or kudos, but because I care.

I have been the recipient of some fantastic generosity in this forum.

Freddy sent me a few really classy fragrance samples which really kickstarted my interest in fragrances, and started my nose on a journey of maturity that I hope will continue.

Shortly after that, NeoXerxes sent about 20 or so sampkes of other fragrances to try, and even tok the time to write uo brief histories and deacriptions of each one.

Thes sample fragrances have been an absolute joy to experiment with and have really taken my appreciation for fragrances and scents to a level I never exoerienced before.

Andrew sold me a Slim for an unbelievable price.

Oldschoolsteel traded me a BEAUTIFUL Torrey razor that I absolutely live using.

Hobbyist traded me first strop and a great little shaver when I firat started using straights. I still use the atrop everyday, and while I dont use the razor, I am very excited to be able to pass it to someone else to get them excited about straights.

I also purchased my first straight on this forum, though I cannot remember the user name of the gentleman that sold it to me for the ridiculous pruce of $20. I was exoecting something just worthy of geinding on and practicing honing, but itbis a great razor that I am very excited to give to someone else to learn with.

Explodyii offered to hone my first vintage razor for me, free of charge. While I opted to buy stones and just give it a tey on my own, his offer really pushed me in that direction. I cant explain it better than that, but his offer gave me the luttle push I needed to bite the bullet and buy the stones.

Aside from material goods, the inspiration, ideas, input, and lessons learned on this forum are priceless and paramount to my success with straights and shaving in general.

When trying to grow out my moustache, Chris (BadDad), without batting an eye, sent me my first moustache wax.  His price... free. Happy2

When I mentioned to Will (1morepasswill) that I was interested in a Featherweight SE razor, guess what I received for my birthday. It has quickly moved up to my favorite SE. Happy2

I have had unsolicited offers for goods from other members, as well. Happy2

For me, this shows the very best of social media, which is refreshing.

Thank you EFDan for being patient with me while I caught a cow in the rain, hauled her to the butcher, all in and around finals week. What an adventure...

Thanks to Baddad for the trade that has resulted in my new favorite razor and my first slant. I havent used any other razor since receiving it. My appreciation is realized every time I pick it up Smile

Well where the hell is my steak? Tongue

I actually split a cow with somebody here (I'm in WA) because I don't have the freezer space.

I will save you a steak in the freezer. I will throw it on the grill when you come over with a case of COORS LIGHT.

I grilled up a sirloin last night. Oh man it was yummy. I had to get up and leave the table or I would've eaten the whole dang thing myself Smile

Talking to a guy at work about wet shaving is what got me interested in wet shaving, and he told me that if I wanted to start that I needed to talk to someone else we worked with, and that guy was bandt929 . He has hooked me up with some soaps, a PAA DOC, ZY Straight, and all at good costs. He has told me a lot about a lot of different aspects and about DFS. So Thanks. And I'm sure to gain even more knowledge from the members here as well.
